Hi! I want to thank you for visiting my photography website! Throughout my whole life I’ve considered myself someone who paid particular attention to visuals that caught my eye, whether it be paintings, images in magazines, drawings on a page, abstract art, graffiti on a wall, the way light reflected off a random surface, or the imposing nature of a mountain before me. I felt I was artistic in some way growing up, but I never found a medium that felt comfortable to get into and grow with, until I eventually found myself taking more and more pictures of the world around me. Family vacations, time spent in our family garden, weekend trips to Lake Superior, to college, studying and volunteering broad, to travels undertaken in the years after college; all these experiences I consciously found myself making a bigger effort to pay more attention to the world around me, picking out things that looked right, that looked amazing, that looked beautiful, that simply looked cool

Growing up camping, visiting different state and national parks, I developed a love of the outdoors, and always found myself being in awe of nature, of how it made me feel emotionally, and how visually it displayed this sense of majesty, from the largest mountain to the smallest leaf, all on its own, without input from man. A meandering river, flickering light through a tree from the mid-day sun, a thick pine forest, a rust colored desert, a tall wall of granite, a sky turned indigo from a rising sun – there is nothing more beautiful than the natural world around us. I travel to see the world as it is, to see nature in all its forms, in order to document these wonders so as to allow those, wherever you are, the chance to see these wonders for yourself, to inspire you to take a chance on a journey to somewhere you’ve never been. I hope you enjoy my photos, and if you have any questions or thoughts on what you see, please send me a message. Thanks!
